Danish Trolley / Mobile Raised bed prototype Length is approx 1.6m Height of uprights is 1.5m

Pics of it nearly finished

Note: This is a crude prototype. Fixings are temporary

Plastic Door edge strip (DES) is grubby as it has been outside for 3 yrs on long term test

Base is made of Aluminium extrusion ( welded / rivetted)  & buffalo board 12mm

Castors are Hq new lockable swivel  - 250kg load ea.

uprights are clad in alu angle, but will be dry wall lining frame in production .

1 or 2 shelves made of insulated grp window off cuts will be made as will pallet base (like in last pic) ,

another ptype will be made where it will be covered in a opaque grp sheets, so like a mobile green house  with hinge opening front & poss central upright to lock door to.

There are 3 prototypes being made here .

1 a danish trolley with shelves

2. a raised bed on castors

3. a mobile mini green house with opening doors from grp roof sheets

Updated pics of mini green house (opening doors yet to be made

update 2/1-21

The cut edge of the grp sheet is sharp, so an opaque used Silicone rubber strip is used (preferably bolted on (not screwed)

Gaffer tape (may become unstuck after wind wear / rain water / hot sun exposure) or a part cut used bicycle inner tube could also be used, but will reduce light onto plants

Due to the flexibilty of the grp roof sheets, the doors can be 'peeled open ' which saves the making of a frame to support the door & hinges . As hte door flap will only be opened occasionally , this is seen as ok.

Whether this will damage the sheet in the long term remasins to be seen. A strip of DES was added to the edge & the profile of the sheet is thought to be strong enough to stop wind force bending it in & damaging plants.

A strip of DES has been added to the edge of the door flap to strengthen it from the wind & stop a sharp edge being exposed,

Another DES strip has als been added the exposed grp edge side of the structure for the same reasons

Alternative door flap with used bicycle inner tube sharp edge protector

Racing bike inner tube slit on one side & placed to protect sharp edge

Slit Conduit pipe cut with circular saw,

Slit Conduit pipe cut with circular saw,  placed over inner tube on door flap edge to hold tube in place while glue dries . Slit pipe could also be used as  a door strengthener / edge protector instead of inner tube, but its more expensive.

Inner tubes are free from you local bike shop

Sharp top edge protected by inner tube glued in place . The inner tube is turned inside out so glued side (the out side)  is free of powder like inside of tube contains
