Hello,
I am just starting this blog with the general idea of promoting material re-use. One of my projects is to re-use a motorcycle to make a  reverse trike.

I have posted photos below of a friend sitting in a full size model I made for an idea of a reverse trike vehicle frame.

It's in the shape of a square truncated trapezohedron (like a dodecahedron with 2 square ends to elongate it)

There is a hoop behind the person to keep the frame shape, as it is made from bendy 25mm diameter plastic water pipe & 3 Way 1/2" Y Male Garden Hose Connectors. The joints are taped together using sellotape.

The struts are all 80cm long and were easily cut using a heated metal knife.  (edit) please note that the struts will be straight and not curved in a working prototype.

I do not know if this is a practical shape for a vehicle frame as the idea is in the early stages of research.

My attraction to it was the minimal use of materials and that the windscreen & door pentagon framed areas, are roughly in the right position for a vehicle.

I publish my ideas on an 'open source' basis at present.
